“YELLOW BIRD” Original painting

Details:  Very large 36x48 inches Convex edges canvas original painting.  
Painting in such a large size with a collage medium is quite a challenge since “the canvas is painted with paper”.   Because of the difficulty in producing such a large canvas with this unusual media, there are less than a dozen canvases ever produced by this artist, so it is a rare piece for sale.

Media: pen and ink on rice paper and water media combined with hand stained papers collage over canvas.

The canvas may be framed or hung as is.

Inspiration:  This painting “YELLOW BIRD” was inspired by the famous Calypso song “Yellow Bird” ...up high in banana tree”.

I believe it was sung by Harry Belafonte perhaps in the 1960’s, it was a big hit.
